Pearl Harbor Remembrance

On December 7th, 1941, over 75 years ago, the Pearl Harbor Naval Base ,located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, was the site of a vicious surprise attack by the Empire of Japan on the United States Naval Fleet stationed there at the time.

On that infamous day, 2,043 lost their lives and 1,178 were wounded. This event effectively forced the United States to enter the Second World War, which would last until 1945 with the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Today, the attack and the souls it took with it are remembered by many. Take the time out the day to recognize and reflect on the events that transpired on that day, and draw lessons from the event.
