OKC School Board To Discuss Closing More Schools To Save Money

OKLAHOMA CITY –The Oklahoma City School Board, Monday night, will be discussing closing more schools as a way to save money.

News 9’s Dana Hertneky just spoke the city councilman in Ward 7 (the northeast part of the metro) John Pettis who says he has a lot of problems with it. But he says a big issue is that when the district closes a school, the building is often left vacant and abandoned, which causes problems for the neighborhood and the city.

Now we do not know yet which schools might be closed or which ones are being discussed to be closed. News 9’s Dana Hertneky is following the story and will have more tonight at 5 p.m.
