The 8th Annual Empty Bowls dinner will be held in the High School Cafeteria on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. This dinner will help alleviate hunger both locally and elsewhere by raising money for the cause.
The name ‘Empty Bowls’ is used to remind us/the community how there are people everyday that go hungry because their bowls are empty. For the past seven years we have been able to raise $10,140 for hunger relief, because of this we have in fact made a difference in the effort to end world hunger.
It’s easy to help the cause, all you have to do is pick a bowl made by EHS students, pay $10 and get a FREE meal of beans, cornbread, dessert, and a drink. There will also be ‘mini bowls’ included in the dinner that were made by a few of our elementary students.
If we all work together, we can make an even greater, positive impact on the hunger crisis at hand.
