Medieval Times Field Trip

Drama will be hosting a field trip to Medieval Times located in Dallas, TX, on Saturday, April 21st, 2018. The buses will leave at 8:00 a.m. from the Elgin HIgh School. Students signed up to go must ride the bus and are not allowed to drive themselves on the trip.

The cost is $50 per student (The cost is NON-REFUNDABLE). Normal ticket costs are $60.95, the school will be getting a discount rate.

Students will be responsible for getting to and from school on their own.

Money for breakfast, dinner, and souvenirs will not be included.
Please return this permission slip and the NON-REFUNDABLE $50.00 by March 16th to Mr. Ramos in Room 13 of the High School. We may, or may not, have a limited amount of seats so please DO NOT wait until the last minute. First come, first serve. Late ticket purchases and/ or additions will not be possible as tickets have to be purchased in advance.

All students attending this event must be added to my Remind Classroom list in order to receive updates and be able to be reached for updates. To join the Remind Group text @dallas21 to the number 81010, parents can also be added to get updates.

School trip

Would you like to see London, Paris, & Rome next summer? Mrs. Keith is planning a student trip to Europe in June of 2019. If you are interested in going. Stop by room 3 and pick up an informational packet. The parent meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Feb 27th at 6:30  p.m. Anyone who attends this meeting with a parent is eligible for a $200 scholarship towards the cost of the trip. The trip is on June 3-12-2019. some of the sites we will be visiting are Buckingham palace, Eiffel Tower, Louvre,Trevi Fountain, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, and much more.download

Elgin High School Blood Drive


Image result for blood drive oklahoma 2018On March 7th, 2018 Elgin High School Student Council is hosting their annual end of the year blood drive. It will be located in the High School Library from 8:30 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. If you would like to donate find a student council member or contact Mrs. Cunningham at 580-492-3670 to schedule an appointment. Plus when you donate you will get to pick a shirt from the strong, bold, or fearless collection. Come out and donate for a good cause, you will be saving a life.

Art Club field trip

All members of Elgin High school’s Art club there will be a field trip Saturday March 3rd, 2017. We will be leaving the school at 7am on a school bus. We will be going to Dallas, Texas. There we will see the Dallas Museum of Art and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth as well as Amon Carter Museum of American Art. It will cost $4 to enter Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The total cost of the trip will be around $24-$34 depending on how much one spends on lunch and dinner. You can bring snacks on the bus if wished. Turn in permission form before Friday March 2nd, 2017 to Mrs. Crittendon.

Meatball sandwich


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt, or to taste
  • 1 (14 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 4 slices provolone cheese                                                                    


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F

In a medium bowl, gently mix the ground beef by hand, bread crumbs, italian seasoning, garlic, parsley, parmesan cheese, and egg. shape into 12 meatballs.and place in a baking dish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cooked through. Meanwhile,  cut the baguette in half lengthwise. and remove some of the bread from the inside to make  a well for the meatballs.

When the meatballs are done, Scoop them onto the baguette with a spoon. Put cheese and put it into the oven so it can melt.meatball-sub

Elgin High School Lip Sync Battle


On March 31, 2018 drama is hosting a lip sync battle. Open to everyone who wants to compete, the first 20 teams are allowed to compete. Registration and music must be turned in on or before March 9, 2018 3:30 pm to Coach Ramos in room 13, music on a flash drive or CD. Registration fee is $25.00 (per team/act). Fee is non refundable, must be clean version of music. Team 1 to 8 people. Teams will be notified by March 16, 2018. For registration see Coach Ramos.

Do you want to Travel?

June 3rd-12th, 2019 there will be a summer trip for all CURRENT students at that time. There will be a meeting discussing the trip on Tuesday, February 27th at 6:30. $50 to reserve a spot for you.
