Owls Falls To MacArthur In Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the mound on Saturday, but MacArthur was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Owls on Saturday. Jake Meents started the game for Owls and recorded 18 outs. MacArthur got things started in the first inning when Trey Longacre grounded out, scoring one run. Owls knotted the game up at one in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run for Owls MacArthur pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Rylan Webbsingled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Michelle Artzberger led things off on the rubber for MacArthur. He lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out 12 and walking one. Meents led things off on the hill for Owls. He surrendered two runs on five hits over six innings, striking out nine. Meents led Owls with two hits in three at bats. Owls was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Trevor Bianchini made the most plays with ten.
