Owls fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 1-0 loss to Pauls Valley on Monday. Pauls Valley took the lead on a single in the first inning. The pitching was strong on both sides. Pauls Valley pitchers struck out five, while Owls sat down nine. Pauls Valley got things moving in the first inning. Foster singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. A single by Kendrick Black in the second inning was a positive for Owls. Davenport led things off on the rubber for Pauls Valley. He surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Jacob Dawson was on the mound for Owls. He went six innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out nine and walking one. Jaken Snider, Tj Neidert, Black, and Lance Bianchini all had one hit to lead Owls. Pauls Valley didn’t commit a single error in the field. Morse had the most chances in the field with seven.
