On April 6th, 2018, the Drama and Multicultural Classes took students to OU’s annual Medieval Fair. Although the teacher walk-out was ongoing, this is something that students look forward to this every year. Most years it is hard to take a bus into the Lloyd Noble Center Parking lot because of the number of buses parking, this year was a very poor attendance, and this seems to be due to the walkout. Elgin Students pulled in as bus number 5 in the parking lot and pulled out with only one other bus showing up. This event is very educational and has many different performances and different foods and activities for students and people that attend the event. We would like to thank those teachers and those students that still decided to attend and thank the school for allowing this trip to still continue. The teachers’ efforts during this years walkout is an important topic and the support that they are getting from the communities is overwhelming. Thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to attending this event again next year.
