Early Lead For El Reno Seals Fate For Owls

Owls fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-6 loss to El Reno on Thursday. El Reno took the lead on an error in the second inning. Despite the loss, Owls did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, El Reno had ten hits on the way to victory. Owls got on the board in the first inning. El Reno scored five runs in the seventh inning. El Reno big bats were led by KudronWienke,Hunt, and Armold, who all drove in runs. Hunt led things off on the hill for El Reno. He allowed three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Jake Meents started the game for Owls. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out five and walking one. Braeden Moreland and Tyler Sweeney entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively. Tj Neidert went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Owls in hits. El Reno collected ten hits. KudronWilliams, and Kouba all managed multiple hits for El Reno.Kudron led El Reno with three hits in four at bats.
