Owls took Friday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Clinton. The game was tied at three with Owls batting in the bottom of the eighth when Trevor Bianchini singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Owls tied things up at three. An error scored one run for Owls. After Clinton scored one run in the top of the sixth, Owls answered with one of their own. Clinton scored when an error scored one run for Clinton. Owls then answered when Lance Bianchini doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Braeden Moreland led things off on the hill for Owls. He lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five. Patrick Hunter started the game for Clinton. He went seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out six. Gage Gaunt threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Owls totaled nine hits. Bianchini, Jake Meents, and Bianchini all had multiple hits for Owls.Bianchini, Meents, and Bianchini each managed two hits to lead Owls. Hunter went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Clinton in hits.
