Owls nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Blanchard on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Owls batting in the top of the sixth when Jake Meents tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Owls collected nine hits and Blanchard had six in the high-scoring affair. Blanchard got things moving in the second inning, when Callen Golloway doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. After Owls scored one run in the top of the seventh, Blanchard answered with one of their own.Owls scored when Trevor Bianchini singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Blanchard then answered when Golloway drew a walk, scoring one run. Owls tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Jacob Dawson, Bianchini, and Jaken Snider each had RBIs in the frame. Braeden Moreland got the start for Owls. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two innings. Camden Cooper was on the pitcher’s mound for Blanchard. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out two. Tyler Henery threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen. Owls tallied nine hits. Bianchini, Holden Bartosovsky, and Dawson all managed multiple hits for Owls. Bartosovsky and Bianchini each managed three hits to lead Owls. Owls didn’t commit a single error in the field. Snider had six chances in the field, the most on the team. Blanchard racked up six hits. Henery and Golloway each had multiple hits for Blanchard.
