The Walk-out has not affected to end of school for Elgin public schools

The last day of school is still the 24th of may. Discussions on how to deal with the time loss due to the teacher walk has concluded that no time must be made up. Since it lasted over a week, which was two days more than allotted for it, the school was unsure on how to make up lost time. The end result was that the school already has the right amount of nessay hours and can still end on 24th. So it is confirmed that the end of the school and end of school year events are not affected and will still happen on time.

Simple tricks to stay safe over spring break.

1.Stay away from heavy traffic areas (such as city centers and beach roads) as there is bound to be more teens on the road.

2.If you are staying somewhere make sure to park in a secure area and have safe place to rest/sleep.

3.Avoid fights as should be obvious, but even provoking a fight can cause you to end up in trouble or even jail in some places.

4.Try to find a buddy to travel and stay with so if something does happen you have some to speak for you.

5.Make sure that all of your credentials are up to date and that your money is secure
