Owls Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Blanchard

Owls nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Blanchard on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Owls batting in the top of the sixth when Jake Meents tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Owls collected nine hits and Blanchard had six in the high-scoring affair. Blanchard got things moving in the second inning, when Callen Golloway doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. After Owls scored one run in the top of the seventh, Blanchard answered with one of their own.Owls scored when Trevor Bianchini singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Blanchard then answered when Golloway drew a walk, scoring one run. Owls tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Jacob DawsonBianchini, and Jaken Snider each had RBIs in the frame. Braeden Moreland got the start for Owls. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two innings. Camden Cooper was on the pitcher’s mound for Blanchard. Jaken Snider was an RBI machine on Friday, driving in five on two hits to lead Owls past Verdigris 16-1 on Friday. Snider drove in runs on a in the first, a single in the second, a in the third, and a home run in the fourth. Owls fired up the offense in the first inning, when. Owls put up seven runs in the second inning. The rally was led by singles by Holden BartosovskySnider, and Lance Bianchini and a double by Kendrick BlackJacob Dawson got the start for Owls. Owls took Friday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Clinton. The game was tied at three with Owls batting in the bottom of the eighth when Trevor Bianchini singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Owls tied things up at three. An error scored one run for Owls. After Clinton scored one run in the top of the sixth, Owls answered with one of their own. Clinton scored when an error scored one run for Clinton. Owls then answered when Lance Bianchini doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Braeden Moreland led things off on the hill for Owls. He lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five. Patrick Hunter started the game for Clinton. The Owls struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Marlow, giving up 14 runs. In the first inning, Marlow got their offense started when Davis lined out, driving in a run. Owls knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning. Braeden Shacklefordsingled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Bergner toed the rubber for Marlow.
